TrailerSafe

TrailerSafe which is a device that monitors the connection of the tractor unit to the trailer, first entered the market in 2001, and has since been fitted to hundreds of tractor units.  Its success has lead to it being an “on-line” option with Renault, DAF and Scania trucks.  Customers include Royal Mail, Business Post, B&Q, MRS and many of the major European fleets.

SliderSafe
SliderSafe has been introduced in-line with the increasing use of fifthwheel sliders.  It monitors the position of the fifthwheel on the slider and by linking to the trucks engine management system inhibits the speed of the truck should a driver attempt to take the truck on the road with the slider in the wrong position.  Customers include B&Q, Royal Mail and many other fleets.

CoolerSave - Refrigeration Control

CoolerSave is proven to save electricity on bottle cooling in the licensed trade in particular where huge amounts of electricity is wasted unnecessarily cooling beers and soft drinks.

Saving electricity will become more important to business as pressure to reduce cost and carbon footprint increases in future years. 

The kit doesn’t require an electrician or any special skills for installation.  Installation is DIY and requires no tools.  The savings from CoolerSave start immediately and you can almost forget the device is in operation. 

In the vast majority of cases, payback is easily attainable in a few months making the installation of CoolerSave the “No Brainer” of the 21st Century.

Electronic Security Equipment - DoorCall

A unique and innovative device, known as DoorCall, which consists of a hard wired field bus with several ‘call points’ located at strategic locations within (or outside) a building.  Handsets are used by individuals to call the assistance of others to specific places with in the controlled area.

Examples of uses are security personnel, catering staff, personal shopper, lone worker.  There are uses for DoorCall in many environments including schools, night clubs, large stores, multi story car parks and many more.

Innovation

• No requirement for a manned monitoring station.
• Unique combination of RF and IR communication.
• Ability to work consistently and reliably in all conditions and environments.
• Individual handsets programmable to discrete operational groups providing signalling only to other handsets in the designated group or groups.
• Ability for user to change identity and group allegiance of individual handsets at anytime by simple connection to programming module.

DoorCall’s initial target market is night clubs and large pubs that use doormen and other security staff such as observers.  Far more efficiently and faster than using radios, DoorCall allows both security and other staff to discreetly call the assistance of other security staff to a specific location.

Should you have the need for a special purpose device, whether it’s for measurement or testing, for workshop or on-site work, we can help you design and build the equipment.

We have experience of building equipment for automotive, aerospace and security industries and have access to component suppliers from many areas of most industries.

CE marking, EMC Certification (and any other certification you may require) and calibration can be organised with the absolute minimum of cost and effort.

As with all our services, we take you from start to finish and we are always happy to assist with upgrades and repairs in to the future. 

Cables & Looms

Original Equipment offer a flexible service aimed at customers who require ‘one-off’ or low to medium volume production of cable looms and harnesses for a wide variety of machines and vehicles.  Our services and working practices are particularly effective when products are under development or when at the ‘production prototype’ stage.

We understand the importance of getting the looms and cables right and will work closely with you to ensure we carry out the best possible job on your behalf.

Once in production, we aim to be flexible in the way we deal with your product line.  For example, we can hold stock on your behalf and make scheduled deliveries as you require them. 

PCB Design & population

Having successfully completed a number of projects, we are perfectly placed to assist you in taking your project from concept to finished product.

We guide you from start to finish with the minimum of fuss and expense.  We have the capabilities to build ‘one off’s’ to allow you to test the equipment and can then make changes to the board and layout as required without going to the expense of having large numbers of boards produced.

Additionally, as specialists in low to medium volume production and assembly we can then take your project into production and give advice and even put you in touch with the people you’ll need to know should you move to higher volumes and require production to take place overseas.
